We always try to trade in a way that is fair to both the buyer and seller.

At the fall of the Hammer the highest bidder acceptable to the Auctioneer shall be the purchaser.

Payment for all goods purchased to be made within 48 hours of the end of sale and collection/delivery to be organised within 14 days… West Cork Auctions reserve the right to seek payment by debiting the card details submitted by the buyer prior to receipt of bidding number. If the buyer does not pay for the goods or carriage in full, West Cork Auctions reserve the right to resell the items without notice or compensation to the purchaser.
Buyers Commission is charged at 20% plus vat on the Hammer price if the purchaser has paid the €3 flat fee registration to easy live or 23% plus vat if the purchaser has availed of free registration. 23% VAT is only charged on the commission and not the hammer price.

West Cork Auctions will try to facilitate live viewing by appointment but this might not always be possible. Condition reports and Personal videos are available on request… Any dispute shall be settled by the Auctioneers whose decision shall be absolute and final. The Auctioneer reserves the right to not accept the highest bid if the item has not reached the reserve thus withholding the sale of the item.

At the fall of the hammer , all lots shall be and remain in every respect at the absolute risk of the purchaser. West Cork Auctions trade using the VAT Margin scheme and as such no vat is reclaimable by the buyer on the hammer price. Electrical goods will be described as working or not working but the Auctioneer offers no guarantee or certificate as to the safety of the item. It is the buyer’s responsibility on purchase to ensure that the item is safe for use.

All descriptions before, during and after the sale both verbal and in the catalogue shall only be taken as a matter of opinion of the Auctioneer and employees of West Cork Auctions.
While we will always endeavour to give our honest opinion and description, the Auctioneer accepts no responsibility for faults or imperfections of any lot described in the catalogue or given verbally by a member of staff.

Intending purchasers must satisfy themselves as to the description, condition, quality, and originality of any lot prior to bidding and condition reports are available in order to assist the purchaser. Commission bids on behalf of intending purchasers will be accepted in writing up to two hours before the commencement of a sale. This service is offered at the purchasers own risk and the Auctioneer cannot accept liability for failure to receive or place such bids.
The property in a lot shall not pass to the buyer until he/she has paid the purchase price in full. All goods sold are pre lived and will carry and show their age…

We are not qualified accessors and condition reports will be offered in good faith as our honest opinion only.
We reserve the right to deny bidding registration to anyone without explanation.
